A little background information and thensome...

I thought it best for my first post to tell you a little bit about the Gropp's (rhymes with drops). Shane and I met in Rexburg, Idaho while both attending BYU-I. Now for those of you who know anything about BYU-I, it has been said that it is a place where LDS single students go to get their "MR" and "MRS" degrees respectively. This was not the case for either of us. I was at school because my parents live in a small town only seven minutes away and after suffering a few emotional and devastating blows after high school I moved to their new home and took advantage of the free rent. Shane was there for the education after just returning home from his mission and to enjoy being out away from everyone because that was what he was used to after serving. (For those who care to know, he served in the Philippinnes)

We met at the local Little Ceasar's Restaurant, where Shane was working at the time. After working next door to each other for the greater of six months separated only by a brick wall, we finally met and not knowing each others names first we went on a date. We were marreid four short months later. I know what you are thinking, but hey, "When it's right, it's right!" We are coming up on our third year anniversary this July.

We currently live in Boise, Idaho but have been everywhere, it seems, in our three short years. We started in Rexburg, Idaho and then migrated to Nampa, Idaho. We hated it and ran to Salt Lake City, Utah before finally deciding to move to Boise. Boise is home. We have been here for nine months and are looking to build or buy a house and a start a family here. We are at peace with our surroundings and absolutely love Boise.

We are both currentlly students at Boise State, GO BRONCOS!, but are between semesters. Shane is studying to be a Mechanical Engineer, and me, well I remain undecided and will have three or four associates by the time I decide what I'm good at.

We have no children as of yet, but we have a wonderful and cute little dog named Boomer. He is a Corgi and makes me laugh everyday because he has the best personality.
A few things I bet you didn't know about us...

*Shane's parents knew he was going to marry a girl named Brittnee (spelling definitely not the same). When Shane was younger he had a babysitter named Brittnee. After coming home and relieving the babysitter of her duties, Karrie looked at Kell and said, "Shane is going to marry a girl like her someday." Kell said, "No, Shane is going to marry a Brittnee." Needless to say when they found out my name they knew we would be married.

*Two weeks after dating I brought Shane with me to my home ward and my mom got up to bear her testimony, having not done this since I was eight years old at my baptism. In the midst of pouring out her soul, she looked right at Shane with tears in her eyes and said we would like to welcome the new addition to our family. Shane and I hadn't even began to think marriage at this point, but we definitely did after that.

*Shane was born on August 28 and when he was a baby he had his first smile on what would be my birthday in just three short years, on September 10.

*I have never flown on an airplane, and I don't know how to swim. I'm the only girl Shane has ever kissed and neither of us have ever had the pleasure of partaking in snow activites, such as skiing or snowboarding.
