Too many toddlers...

Shane and I are in the nursery, did I ever mention that? Wow, what a crazy, but fun mad house we attend every Sunday morning. I have a warning for all of you parents out there, your kids are watching you. I have had some of the most priceless moments in this little room that is always blistering hot! One child was picking his nose and I told him he shouldn't do that, and he said why Mom and Dad do? Another child was sitting at the table doing her puzzles when Shane sneezed and she looked up at him and said bless you, Shane said thank you, and she said you are sure welcome! She was only three and she was the most well mannered child I had ever seen. Another little boy thinks the bubbles taste like chocolate, and a few others think that making a mess and throwing tantrums are so much more fun than having an organized play time. It is a lot of work, that's for sure. I love kids, I really do and I've always wanted to open up a preschool, but teaching children the ABC's versus the gospel is vastly different, and I'm not going to lie or sugar coat it, Shane and I are struggling with this calling. I have taught the five year olds, the Sunbeams, been the Sharing time presenter, and both Shane and I taught the fifteen year olds. Shane has taught the twelve year olds, been a ward missionary and helped as a team teacher in the Sunbeams. I will say without a doubt that nursery is the hardest calling I've ever had.

There is this really 'perfect', well-mannered family in our Branch. One of their kids told the nursery leader that her parents occasionally close the door to their bedroom to 'exercise'. No one ever told them about that conversation. They would be devestated! You will be blessed for doing that calling.
