Because today is exactly one month from Shane's and my third year anniversary I've decided that today would be a perfect day to wrap up my memories blurbs. I'm sure that I've bored you with them all anyway, but I've really enjoyed going down memory lane and remembering life's little precious things.
We went on a date that night to the movie, and if any of you know me, I move around a lot during movies because I can never get comfortable because of my bad knees. Shane was sweating the date and thinking I was totally not into him, and so he didn't enjoy the movie at all. Sorry babe, I just wasn't comfortable! Then he took me to Taco Bell, which I know sounds lame but one, we were living in Rexburg at the time so our options were extremely limited, and two, it was that or ice cream and I'm not a huge ice cream fan and Taco Bell is one of my favorites so Shane was totally lucky in making the right decision. We sat in a booth and talked for two hours straight, about anything and everything! He then took me to play games with his twin sisters at their place. I met my future sister-in-laws on our first date, and fell in love with them. I wanted to be a part of their family and hoped Shane wanted to get to know me on a follow up date. Our first date lasted six hours and lucky for me, he did want to get to know me and called me the next day!
We lived in Rexburg for nine months while going to BYU-Idaho, feeling sheltered, ran away to Nampa, Idaho for nine months while going to Boise State, hated it with every fiber of our being so then jumped over to West Valley City, Utah and couldn't enjoy time with each other because of the fast paced life and second jobs we were working, lasted only another nine months, and then moved to Boise, Idaho!
Since we have been married we have had three cats, and one dog. Boomer, the dog, is the only animal who is still with us today, after one cat passed away, one ran away, and the other because of his violence was given away.
Seventy percent of the time that Shane and I have been together we've been poor starving college students cutting corners just to make it by but loving every minute of it. Just recently as of January of this year Shane and I cut our Internet and cable because of the rising prices. We felt trapped in a Stone-Age. It got so bad no t having the Internet sometimes that we would go over to the St. Alphonsus Hospital parking lot which is right behind our house, and bum off of their WI-FI! Shane would watch the life flight coming in over head, while I balanced the check book, and Boomer chewed on a bone in the back seat of the car, while we all munched on pizza. That was our family home evenings and helps you understand just a little more, exactly who Shane and Brittnee Gropp are. One thing is for sure, we try to make the best of everything.
All in all I've had a pretty blessed life, with lots of divine intervention along the way. I never could imagine my life turning out so wonderfully, but I hope my legacy can live on through my family someday.
Shane and Brittnee now...

These are some pictures of Shane, Brittnee, and Boomer that are the most recent as they were taken last Sunday.
