Bees!

Yeah, if only all bees were this cute. I have to say I have not been stung in at least 12 years, until yesterday, that is. Chelsea, Shane and I decided to drive to Baker City/La Grande, Oregon to meet Mom and Dad Gropp and the boys for the day. We met at Wolf Creek Rd between the two cities and just drove up into the mountains where we were lucky enough to find a creek. We were eating lunch, sandwiches, and the bees, yellow jackets, wasps, you name it all came out to play. I was eating and turned around and a bee got stuck under my armpit and stung me. It hurt so blasted bad, I forgot how terrible it is to get stung. Instantly I felt like I needed to throw up. Shane and his sweet dad were so worried about me. Shane crushed up a Motrin and rubbed it along the sting and then put ice on it, which thank you so much honey, kept the swelling to a real minimum. I took a Tylenol and then laid in the car to try and settle my stomach. Dad and Shane kept feeling my head to make sure I was okay. (A lot of people in my family are allergic) It literally hurt for eight hours, just throbbing. Well then it was getting late and no one wanted to drive home, so we got a hotel in Baker City and relaxed in the hot tub, went to bed, and then traveled home. It was a great weekend, very relaxing, but I could have done without the bee sting.

You have such a wonderful husband! I am glad you are feeling better. Might want to ask the Doc for an Epi-pen. Just in case! Love y'all!

Sorry about the bee sting. I can honestly say that I have never been stung. knock, knock! It sounds fun to get together with family though. I am glad you had a good time, in spite of the bee sting.
