Biggest Loser or Biggest Winner?

I've always loved the show Biggest Loser and felt that it gave people in desperate needs the motivation and inspiration to make the change themselves. However, as I watch each new season I become more and more disappointed in the turns NBC is allowing the show to take. It is more about the money and the game playing now than it is about the weight loss and unfortunately gets worse and worse every season. I am very disappointed that tonight one of the biggest guys to ever enter the Biggest Loser Campus was "punished" with a one pound disadvantage because he was the last person up the hill. There was no congratulations or heartwarming acceptance for someone who weighs 450+ pounds to even complete the challenge. I don't know if anyone agrees, or even cares, but I think that Biggest Loser needs to find it roots in focusing on weight loss and not game play. Giving people a buy out option in the second week is not the way to get them to push harder but reinforces the bad habits already built in. Just a thought...

That was a tough show last night. I felt awful for Jerry to have to go home. Jonelle irritated me and to see Bob blow....YIKES. Great job this week for you...4lbs down!! Keep up the great work!

I agree. I think you should submit your comments to the show's website or something. Because that did stink to have him get a penalty. (and I really liked Jerry, and was amazed by his cute sportsmanship)

Congrats on your weightloss! That is hard to do. My hubby and I are huge biggest loser fans too and didnt like the whole send half of the cast home after 1 week idea. Those who went home only had one week on the ranch and didnt have a chance to make good habits, learn how to exercise, and break old bad habits. That sucks. I actually loved when Bob blew up last night, it was so kind of funny to see someone who is soo calm, zen, and compiled lose it over some girl who isn't taking her opportunity seriously. I love Bob!

I agree! I actually thought that to myself when watching the show.
