Sadly, I have no pictures of the actual event because I love my camera too much to let it fall into the freezing waters of the Boise River but on Saturday, July 4th we took to the river for some much needed summer fun. Shane, me, Summer, Chad, Sterling, Chelsea, Kristian, and Tyrel all decided to float and were lucky to have Mom and Dad drop us off, pick us up, and watch us along the side of the river. (They were so nervous the poor things, the water was moving fast and they were worried about all of us) We hopped in at Barber Park and floated all the way down to Ann Morrison. We had three tubes and two oars. Two tubes were tied together and one was a loner boat. Chad got daring and dove into the river and switched boats. Feeling crowded, I switched boats, and Chelsea did as well because Shane "double dog dared" her. (That is her ultimate weakness, she can never back down from a dare) At one point on the trip we got out at the wrong place while Chad floated away down the river by himself. After we realized our mistake we jumped back in and continued on our way down. The total trip time was about 2 hours! Floating the river is our absolute favorite thing about living in Boise and we can't wait to do it again...
