Always overwhelmed, never under

As the blood courses through my veins as my heart rate elevates, I realize that stress seems to be dictating my life. Letting fears, weaknesses, problems, consequences and the like take over me this last week, I am now having to take a step back, screaming STOP!
As I contemplate what might be the cause of my stress and near constant elevated heart rate, I cannot help but wonder what my blood pressure is doing. Stressors for me came from every venue of my life this last week. I am stressed about work and the constant influx of work with never a chance (or hope) of catching up. I am stressed about the cleanliness of my apartment because let us face it, it has been awhile since it received a thorough cleaning. I am stressed about school and the pressure of taking thirteen credits and attempting to work 40+ hours at the same time. I am stressed by the jealousy my heart feels. I am stressed about my husband and his self-induced waltz to the unemployment line this Friday as he searches for what he really wants to do. Basically, I am just stressed.
Pondering throughout the day, I began asking myself questions that might help the incessant tumbling of failure and lack of time finally cease. The obvious answer, cut back and relax. This is what I plan to do. I dropped 3 credits and have already found some breathing room. For work to get easier, I just have to work the best I can and keep working until I am done. The house can wait because I will be honest, I have few visitors as of late due to my busy schedule. My jealousy will never go away, but I’m turning that weakness and my desires over to the Lord. As the hubs moves closer to the unemployment line, I can only breath easy that our bills are paid in advance for awhile and hope that his studying and testing can take him where he wants to go. Essentially, I need to not care about anything outside of my control.
So today, as I have contemplated and changed my focus, I am neither overwhelmed or even under. I am just right!
