I Knee-d Less Pain

This last week has been excruciating. Five years ago I was diagnosed with having runner's knee in both knees. Essentially, I was told I had irregular strength in my thigh and quad muscles and was literally pulling my knee caps off of my knee. I was given strength exercises and regretfully didn't follow them. Now here I am, five years later and 50 pounds heavier struggling to even stand up from a sitting position. This morning I couldn't even climb out of bed without an excruciating shot across my knee and yelp of pain escaping my throat. I've gotten worse. I'm learning the hard way that I didn't take care of myself when I should have. Now I get to wait to see and Orthopedic surgeon in two weeks and hear of the possible damage and fixes. I'm a little terrified.

I am so sorry. I hope they can fix it and relieve the pain.

That's a HUGE bummer. Good luck with all that stuff!

Boo! I'm so sorry to hear that! Mike's had knee issues for his whole teenage years and it really takes SO much to want to get back on your feet!

The post about donating I'm so glad that you said that! I have always felt better donating to somewhere where the people who are in need of clothes/shoes/blankets/anything are able to acquire the items without having to buy them. We don't take things to the DI because of that reason. SO thanks! It's good to get the word out. It makes you feel SO good!
