I've thoroughly enjoyed making my own jewelry and find myself buying new beads all of the time. I honestly have like fifty necklaces now and one in every color. Shane, knowing how much I love new beads, had bought me some gorgeous authentic pearls to bead with and I was so afraid of not making the perfect necklace that I started researching styles of pearl necklaces. I came across a design that required you to crochet the wire. I loved the way it looked and the fact that it was time consuming and super challenging so I took to Walmart to by fake pearls first. Here is the end result. What do you think? I've gotten mixed remarks-everyone either loves it or they hate it.

Hmm...I'm in the middle. I like it because it's different, but I'm also a plain-jane kinda girl so I love pearls for their traditional simplicity.
I'm also in the middle but since you already made this design with fakies I would go with a traditional strand with the real pearls, then they are timeless and you can pass them on as an heirloom to your kids or grandkids later in life. Just a thought.
