Phase 2 cont.

Phase 2 is a bummer phase. It's a mountain of paperwork and Dr. appointments, fingerprinting, and background checks. I completely understand the purpose but am a little disheartened today because this phase seems to take the longest. We had our Dr. appointments yesterday and should get the blood work results by the end of the week. We were fingerprinted today and passed with flying colors (as if there was ever any doubt). Now we just have a few more documents to finish up and we can move into Phase 3 where we can build our profile. That part makes me the most nervous because whatever we write in there is what the Birth Moms are going to see. But it's also the most exciting part because it's the about us phase where we can gather pictures, hobbies, likes/dislikes, etc.
Tomorrow is the next FSA Meeting and I will be flying solo while the husband is at work. It should be a good panel much like last week but this time from the eyes of successful adoptive parents. I truly feel enriched after these meetings. I can't believe how quickly this process is progressing and look forward to being a mom!
