I'm learning that there is no space in my house. I've tried so many different things to save space. I'm running out of ideas. We recently tried a TV wall mount and can I just say I don't think I like these things. I love the idea of these things. I love the space these things create. I HATE the cords hanging down my wall. I have a million ideas rolling through my head of how to cover these up. My first try? I took cords and taped them to the wall using painters tape and then painted them the same color as my wall. Can I just say how tacky that looks? Next I tried wall moldings in a pattern straight down. Eek! Next, I'm thinking bead board. We shall see.
Currently my house is in shambles. In our preparations for the adoption homestudy we had to make room whilst bringing in "baby safe" items. I decided the best way to do this was to start room by room. I started in our laundry room and built (and installed), sans hubby, a shelf for the bleach and laundry detergent.
Next I cleaned out all of our storage closets to squeeze in some extra bulky items. The living room was rearranged and the kitchen was hard core cleaned. We also had to buy new dishes because more than half of ours were chipped and breaking. Next up, a hard core cleaning upstairs and my house should be clean, functional, and best of all "baby ready"!
