Can't Wait, Wishing We Did

Adults...


We can't wait to be 'em.
We can't wait to make our own money.
We can't wait to live alone.
We can't wait to be married.
We can't wait to have kids of our own.
We just can't wait to grow up.


Then we become adults...

We wish we didn't have to pay deductibles.
We wish we didn't have to visit the dentists and doctors and pay for them too.
We wish we didn't have to pay so much to live alone.
We wish we made more money.
We wish we could be taken care of again, some days.
Most of all, we wish we wouldn't have grown up so fast.


I definitely have a love/hate relationship with adulthood.
