I love jewelery.
Always have.
Store bought.
Homemade.
Antique or vintage.
Real diamond or silver pieces.
Trinkets.
I love, love, love 'em!
Last night I made two more necklaces to add to my collection. It's getting a little out of control.
These are just the ones I've made! Oh and might I add, I'm in love with my new necklace holder. It's a simple black curtain rod with curtain hooks to hold the jewelery. Cost me all of $10! The best part you might ask... It hangs directly over my full body mirror and so when I'm trying on outfits I can match the colors to the jewelery before even putting it on. Now has that for snazzy?
These are all of the remnants of my store bought pieces that I haven't cut apart and reused pieces of---yet, anyway! They are tucked away in my jewelery box in an effort to force me to have to wear some of the pieces I've made.
Last night, I was playing around and accidentally made a unique connector. I fell in love with it and of course decided to make an entire necklace using them. I also tore apart a shirt I bought ages ago while working at Mervyn's and added these flat washer like beads to the mix. It turned out wonderful.
Totally terrible picture, I know, but I just couldn't get a good one that showed the detail. This at least gives you an idea of the connectors and washer beads I used.
Alas, I've got an abundance of jewelery and even more beads awaiting transformation. Is it time to sell? Maybe custom orders? Whatcha think?
Funny tidbit- Did you know there are three different ways to spell "jewelery", this spelling being the correct in the USA according to the Oxford Dictionary.
