Shane and I just wrapped our final personal trainer sessions on Friday and after losing one inch around my waist, one inch around my belly, and 3% body fat in five weeks, I decided I could do much better than that! I had issues with my trainer and didn’t really feel like she was working me as hard as she should have been and after seeing Shane’s results and the way in which he talked about his trainer, we decided to sign up for group sessions with his trainer. Essentially, Shane and I get to work out together now, and I get to enjoy getting my butt kicked. Our first session together was on Tuesday evening. Clint got us started on kettlebells. If you’ve ever done kettlebell training then I’m sure you can feel for me, if not, they are basically iron balls with handles and you do various strenuous exercises whilst holding them. i.e. renegades, duckwalks, pushups, etc. Needless to say, I’ve been worked to the brink of exhaustion. For the first time in what seems like YEARS, every inch of my body aches. We are now two days past this session and standing, twisting, blow drying my hair, changing clothing, getting in and out of cars-chairs… ALL HURT! I’m sure Shane has gotten sick of my consistent complaining of pain, but he also gets to enjoy laughing at me as payback for the times when I would laugh at him because I wasn’t feeling the burn.
