Awhile back, while we were still in our Education classes for the adoption, I filled out a piece of paper asking if I was willing to volunteer. I wanted to be involved and throw myself into the world of adoption and was actually a little disappointed when they didn't call me right away. I waited a couple of months and was called and asked if I could bring water to the parade. I was thrilled to just be out there and making friends and supporting a great cause. Well tonight they called me and asked if I wanted to volunteer on a more permanent basis. I get to go to the FSA Board meetings and be a part of the activities and education or whatever else they might need. I am at ease with the idea that our adoption will definitely take some time and have peace in my heart that it is such an important thing and that I need to help support and get the word out. Being part of the board is just the way for me to feel like there is more to adoption than waiting. I want people to know that placement or no placement, I've become an advocate of adoption and truly believe in what it does. I truly feel blessed to be able to partake of such an experience in whatever form Heavenly Father sees fit.
