Labor Day Weekend in Washington

In a miracle whim, Shane got Labor Day off even though he just started a new job two weeks ago.  We were planning on traveling as soon as we could, but didn't expect it to be this soon.  We have been home to my family twice in the last four months and so we knew from the beginning we were headed for Washington.  We left late in the evening, around 6:30 and wanted to get there as soon as possible.  It wasn't before Baker City when we were stopped by the side of the road with the blue and red.  I'm still wondering how bad our odometer is off because we were not going nearly as fast as he seemed to think.  Needless to say, we couldn't talk ourselves out of that one.  On we went, and that night as Shane picked his little brother up from the pizza joint, we saw more blue and red.  This time a warning for peeling out and spitting up gravel.  Did I mention that the entire road is torn up and even I kicked up gravel today in our little Caliber.  What a joke.  Luckily, because the Gropp's are known in Othello, that was a scrape by.  We've spent some time in Moses Lake at a Farmer's Market, took a few more alphabet pictures, updated pictures of Shane and I for our updated adoption profile and also took pictures of the boys.  Tomorrow we are heading to the Tri-Cities and then home.  We've had a great, relaxing weekend and aren't entirely looking forward to going home.
