Even though it's just a garage and it's really the "man" space of the house, I felt ours was tacky. They used mismatched colored drywall, the tape was done quickly and did not look professional and I felt like it just needed some general sprucing. Because we have a buddy who had the texturing gun and another who was willing to let us borrow his compressor for the weekend, we were able to make our garage new for under 20 bucks! Shane and Steve got to work and patched, sanded and taped off the garage. They spent about two hours texturing and then installed our new opener. Then this last weekend, we decided what the heck and mixed two of our left over buckets of paint and set to work. We had exactly enough for all of the wall space and will probably have to put some more money into buying paint for the ceiling but it already looks a million times more finished. Shane can't wait to get his workbench and toolbox purchased and organized. We did buy some shelving for the garage and we hope to be all organized and keep it clean. Here are a few before and afters.
