This weekend I took a completely spontaneous and spur of the moment trip to Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a wonderful opportunity to be able to share a weekend with my family and especially my two older sisters. We left Friday afternoon around one and got home this morning at about three am. It was definitely a quick trip but much needed. I got some loving advice in a "daddy daughter" talk and was reminded that I try too hard to be perfect and need to pick my battles. It was so good to be "home" and it made me realize just how badly I miss my little bro! He will be home in just five months! All in all it was a trip needed to put life into perspective and to remember the important things.
