Honored...

Tonight as I sat around a lovely circular dinner table at the top of the Stueckle Sky Center of Boise State University, surrounded by co-workers, friends, and my wonderful husband I was honored to hear my name called aloud by my wonderful boss. Presentations were being made for outstanding awards to each of the departments. As Ken rose to the stand and began discussing why he chose such a person for this award, I listened to all of the great things he spoke regarding my coworker. He said that without them the back end would not run in the way it does, that this person always had his back, and that this person works very hard. I was astonished that such sweet things were being said about such a person and my heart skipped a beat when my name was followed by these words. I was honored with EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR! I can't even believe it. It is reasons such as this that I am grateful to have the job I have, to work for the people I work for, and to be appreciated for doing the small things as well as the big. It was definitely a night to never forget.
